J. P. Morcome opened her home to travellers to the city as Morcome Guest House, we will continue in this tradition of offering homely hospitality in some of the finest bed and breakfast accommodation in York. Recently acquired & refurbished, part of our ethos is that we support our local partners sourcing all of our produce & services wherever possible from within a 20 mile radius of York which includes all of the trades and materials used in the refurbishment. br / br / br / br / Just a short stroll along Marygate Lane to the Museum Gardens & you are in the heart of York, with York Minster to your left & the City Centre directly ahead of you. A huge variety of shops, restaurants, coffee shops, bars & attractions are at your feet. The River Ouse is a two minute stroll away and offers great walks, jogging & cycling routes right outside the front door. br / br / In addition the countryside of North Yorkshire is on your doorstep, explore the Moors, Dales & Wolds or venture a little further to discover North Yorkshire s amazing coastline. br / br / br / br / Breakfast is sourced locally with Bacon, Eggs, Sausages & Black Pudding all coming from The Farmers Cart just outside of York. Jams & Marmalades are from Bracken Hill Farm at Elvington. Our yoghurt are supplied by St. Helen s Farm at Seaton Ross, the breads are home-made & with flour from the Windmill in Acomb, as are the pancakes. Fruits, Vegetables & Fruit, Juices are sourced from Millies on Bishopthorpe Road in York. As with the rooms our Teas & Coffees are supplied by Taylor s of Harrogate. br / br / We are also proud to be working with the Blueberry Academy http://www. blueberryacademy. co. uk who help us with our garden & planting. The Blueberry Academy team provide specialist support for adults with learning difficulties.

York Train Station - Train: Walk towards Platform 2 where you will see a short term car park. Walk through the car park where you will find a zig zag path next to the Royal Mail. At the bottom turn left towards the river and cross the footbridge. Once down the steps, turn left and walk along the path down the side of Marygare car park. At the end of this path you will see steps in front of you. This is St. Mary s, we are No.21 the 4th house on the right. br/ br/ York Strain Station - Bus: Leave your bus at York Station. Walk towards Platform 2 where you will see a short term car park. Walk through the car park where you will find a zig zag path next to the Royal Mail. At the end of this path you will see steps in front of you. This is St. Mary s, we are No.21 the 4th house on the right. br/ br/ From the South M1 J44 - Road: Exit the M1 at J44 & follow the A64 to the Outer Ring Road A1237, following the signs to York (North)/Thirsk and turn towards York on the A19. Proceed through 3 sets of traffic lights until you pass under a pedestrian footbridge & The Grange Hotel on the right. St Marys is the third turning on the right after the footbridge. No.21 is on the left handside approximately 250 yards from the main road, parking is to the rear of the property. br/ br/ The North A1M J47 - Road: Exit the M1 at J47 & follow the A59 to the Outer Ring Road A1237, continue on the A59 to Water End (approx 10.5m), turn left onto Water End to the A19/Clifton & turn right, pass under a pedestrian footbridge & The Grange Hotel on the right. St Marys is the third turning on the right after the footbridge.
